The 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards have announced the TV shows and actors that will compete for the top prizes at their September ceremony.
The show is set to air just months after the 2023 Emmy Awards ceremony, which was postponed due to last year’s actors’ and writers’ strike, begins airing in early January.
On Wednesday (July 17), “Veep” star Tony Hale and Abbott Elementary’s Sheryl Lee Ralph revealed the TV shows and stars competing for this year’s trophy.
As expected, FX’s historical drama “Shogun” and dark comedy “The Bear” received several nominations, as did Richard Gadd’s controversial Netflix hit “Baby Reindeer.”
Eligible programs for the Primetime Emmy Awards must have aired in the United States between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024, and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences selects the nominees.
The winners will be announced at a live ceremony on Sunday, September 15th.
