In what could be a pivotal moment in Amaravati’s history, CM Chandrababu Naidu today inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony of a seven-storey CRDA office building in Amaravati. He gave a powerful and moving speech.
Mr. Chandrababu emphasized the importance of the project as follows: “We are here to rewrite history. We have overcome many challenges during the bifurcation of the state. In a united Andhra Pradesh, we are determined to turn Cyberabad into a prosperous hub. It was a success. At that time, we built an eight-lane road and allocated 5,000 acres of land for Shamshabad airport, which raised many questions. But it was a visionary move. Development always faces resistance.”
Mr. Naidu further highlighted efforts to acquire land in Amaravati. “We have convinced farmers to give their land for the greater good. You have donated 54,000 acres for the development of the capital. Women farmers in particular have bravely fought against the YSRCP government. I’ve been fighting.”
Mr. Naidu reiterated his vision for balanced regional development: “Amaravati will remain the capital of the state. I have always advocated one state, one capital. But we will also designate Visakhapatnam as the financial capital and have industrial and high courts in Kurnool. We plan to establish a court of law.
Giving an important statement on Vision 2047, Mr. Chandrababu said, “When I advocated Vision 2020, many people were throwing satire at me and describing me as 420 years old.In the end, they are 420 years old and Cyberbad is growing. 420 can’t understand my vision. I am calling for Vision 2047 to propel Andhra Pradesh towards impressive growth in the coming years. AP will be Swarnandra. The year 2047 marks the 100th anniversary of India’s independence, so Telugu should be at the top of the world by then. ”
Earlier today, Chandrababu inaugurated the work on the CRDA (Capital Region Development Authority) office building at Udhandara Unipalem in Tullu mandal, resuming the construction of the Amaravati capital. Mr. Naidu along with Minister Narayana performed a puja at the construction site to mark the occasion.
Construction of the seven-storey CRDA office at a cost of Rs 160 million originally began in 2017 during Mr Naidu’s tenure. However, the YSRCP government canceled the project after coming to power. The office building will occupy 3.62 acres, with an additional 2.51 acres allocated for parking and landscaping. Architectural finishing, interior and electrical work is still pending.
