Summer is coming to an end, but there are still plenty of new movies and shows available to watch this weekend on Netflix, Apple TV Plus, and other major streaming services.
Topping the list is the heist movie “The Investigators,” starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck as an unlikely duo hired to carry out a heist that goes awry and ends up on the run.
On TV, the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy will conclude the story of the superhero Hargreeves siblings, while season 3 of Industry will explore even more cutthroat financial shenanigans. Here’s our guide to what to watch this weekend, and be sure to check out our top 10 best Prime Video shows.

They must adapt to a new normal that includes their father, Reginald, still alive and well, who oversees a nefarious business empire. Industry Season 3 (HBO)
Industry is back with a new cocktail of workplace pressure, cutthroat competition, sex, drugs and big money. Looking to the future, Pierpont Bank focuses on ethical investments, tasking Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Robert (Harry Lawty) and Eric (Ken Leung) with overseeing the IPO of a green technology energy company led by Sir Henry Mack (Kit Harington from Game of Thrones). Meanwhile, after leaving Pierpont Bank, Harper (Mihala) seeks a way back into the financial industry and finds it through Future Dawn portfolio manager Petra Koenig (Sarah Goldberg from Barry). In my article on Industry, I wrote, “If The Bear, Succession and Euphoria were to join forces, Industry would be the wild child of the three.” So fasten your seatbelts. It’s about to get loud.
Premieres Sunday, August 11 at 9pm ET on HBO and Max

For basketball star Stephen Curry, this summer has been one full of firsts: his first time competing in the Olympics and his first time playing in a scripted role on a TV show. But that doesn’t have to be too daunting, as he appears fictionally in “Mr. Throwback.” Adam Pally stars in the mockumentary as a down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer who reunites with his sixth-grade teammate, NBA star Stephen. With the help of Stephen and his production company director, Kimberly (Ego Noudim), Danny embarks on a journey of redemption. But even with Stephen’s connections, private jet, and unlimited bank account, it won’t be easy.

Of course, the heist goes awry and the pair find themselves caught in a whirlwind of chaos as they are pursued by police, government officials and crime bosses.
