90 Day Fiancé star Annie Suwan was initially hesitant about having children with her husband David Toborowsky, but after turning 30, she changed her mind.
“I was feeling like I was getting older and then I looked at David and I was like, ‘I can’t wait any longer,'” Annie, 31, exclusively told Us Weekly during a joint interview with David, 55, earlier this month. “I want to have a baby. … I’ve had enough to drink in this life. I was like, ‘OK, I’m sick of this life. I’m sick of acting like a stupid drunk monkey.’ I’m ready to be a mother now. If I wait any longer, David will die and I won’t have a baby.”
Annie and David, 55, announced in July that they were pregnant with their first child after undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF).
“It’s a bit of a rollercoaster because just when you think everything is going well, something can go wrong,” David recalled to Us magazine. “She had to have fibroids removed, so we were basically on her biological clock. I had a vasectomy, so[the sperm]had to be surgically harvested. We did it on Valentine’s Day, which was auspicious[timing]. … But IVF really is a miracle.”
David and Annie’s baby, which they told us they’d “stay tuned” for the gender reveal, will be David’s fourth child. He already has daughters Ashley and Brittany, as well as son Jacob from a previous relationship. David said his older kids are “starting to come to terms” with the idea of having a new sibling.
“We’re still a little nervous, but that’s natural,” David told us. “It’s not like before. I think once they see the baby, they’ll understand more. My son may be more excited, but my daughters are understanding and supportive and say, ‘As long as you don’t forget about us, that’s fine.'”

He continued, “I understand their concerns and this is a decision that Annie and I have made because ultimately this is something that will outlast us. For me in particular, this is something that we share and it really is the culmination of our relationship and being able to pass on our genes, knowledge and experiences to our baby and hopefully he or she will grow up to be a fine human being and contribute to society.”
David and Annie got engaged in 2017, with Annie, who is from Thailand, applying for a K-1 marriage visa. Their whirlwind engagement was featured on season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé. The couple, who married in November 2017, continue to document their journey on various 90 Day spin-offs. David and Annie’s latest season, After the 90 Days, will focus on their fertility journey and Annie’s pregnancy.
“Being on the show has given us the opportunity to share our journey,” David said. “We are so honored to have been a part of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise for seven years.”
David has tried to support Annie as much as he can as she struggles with morning sickness and loss of appetite.
“He’s so sweet to me, and I’ve grown to love him even more,” Annie told us. “Every morning when I see him, I think, ‘I can’t live without you.'”
