You may not know this, but if your Toyota has more than 400,000 miles on it, you’re part of a special club. To claim your rights, all you have to do is contact the Japanese multinational automaker and get official approval.
That’s what Corolla owner and self-proclaimed “handsome dad” (@aljalilw) did after seeing his car hit 428,000 miles on the odometer. He received the award in the mail, but viewers of his celebratory TikTok video say he deserves more.
Loyal Customers
Al posted the video yesterday with the caption, “Thanks @Toyota for the badge and reliable car. 2011 Toyota Corolla with 428,000 miles and still going strong,” and it has already garnered over 67,500 views.
In it, he proudly shows off his new membership status, a sticker he can display in his Corolla’s window proudly proclaiming his membership in the 400,000-mile club.
Al moved the camera closer to the car and said, “Now, my car here has 426, 428,000 miles on it. I messaged Toyota and this is what they sent me,” showing the camera the sticker, still attached to its backing.
The patient clearly states, “Toyota 400,000 Mile Club.”
Al reveals, “I plan to keep this car until next summer, 2025. Unless Toyota offers me a new Corolla, my 2011 Toyota Corolla has hit 400,000 miles.”
Al showed me the new sticker on his driver’s side back window. “That’s your official badge,” he said with a laugh.
He then confesses, “When I went to buy a car, I honestly didn’t want this car. But as luck would have it, it was the car I wanted and I ended up with a car with 100,000 miles on it. And thanks to my work in TV and film, it had 300,000 miles on it.”
The Daily Dot reached out to Toyota via email for a statement.

Toyota Reliability
Al’s new addition is a testament to Toyota’s reputation for reliability and durability. According to a 2022 article from Carbuzz, one of Toyota’s Tundra pickup trucks is still going strong after clocking 1 million miles in less than 10 years.
After learning about the million-mile milestone, the company gifted driver Victor Shepherd a new 2016 model instead of his 2007 Tundra, meaning Al may have to drive another 600,000 miles to get his new Corolla, but that didn’t stop viewers from asking for a discount.
CYeah (@clariclari24) commented, “I think people who are this loyal should get a discount on a new car.”
Al replied, “Yeah, I hope so.”
Another viewer simply stated: “Buy this guy a new Toyota!!”
One viewer asked: “Wait a second, you need a 300,000 club sticker?! How? Where?”
AL responded, “Just email Toyota social and fill out the form.”
Interested drivers can contact Toyota via social email at toyota_social@toyota.com and a photo of the odometer is required to qualify.
One viewer said what many viewers are likely thinking after hearing about the sticker: “Oh man, I think I’ll trade my car in for a Toyota.”
