Alec Baldwin returned to Saturday Night Live as FOX News anchor Bret Baier during the show’s cold open, parodying his grueling interview with Kamala Harris (Maya Rudolph).
“When I interviewed President Trump, my first question was, what do you think is the most important issue facing this country? Can you tell me the exact number of murderers?” Baier asks the Vice President.
But when Harris tried to answer, she kept getting interrupted by a special report by host Bret Baier, similar to the actual interview with the vice president earlier this week. He then asked Harris, “Did you come here to answer a question or just looking for a viral moment?”
“Oh, please, I’m not looking for a viral moment,” Harris, who plays Rudolph, says before looking into the camera to actually participate in a popular social media trend. Thoughtful. ”
When Baier, played by Baldwin, accuses her of simply “spouting a meme,” Harris retorts to applause, saying, “That’s not true. We’re here to reach out across the aisle. Hundreds of people… “Republicans supported me because we’re all good friends in the club,” another viral trend.
“I don’t know much about the club, but are you all good friends?” asks the buyer. “You’ve been quite divisive. You’ve called Donald Trump unfit, unstable, unleaderable and uninhibited.”
The Fox News anchor then ran multiple false videos of President Trump talking about the “enemy within” claim, but when asked by Harris, she said, “He makes a pretty convincing argument. I think I have to admit it.”
“You know, he can dance all he wants to ‘YMCA’ and other songs you don’t realize are gay anthems,” says Harris, who plays Rudolph. “This election is all about the contrast at my rallies. Beyoncé and Joy have bathrooms. At his rallies, he won’t pay for the bus and hundreds of elderly people are forced to walk six miles through the desert. You have to walk miles back to your car, it’s like an Old Testament fire festival.”
Mr. Baier of Baldwin replied: are they stupid? But an angry Harris lashed out, saying, “They’re trying so hard to get me to say something bad.”
“You’re so sexy when you’re angry,” Baier jokes. “Do you know that?” Harris replied, “Yes, I do.”
On Saturday, Michael Keaton returned to Studio 8H to host his fourth sketch comedy show with musical guest Billie Eilish.
During his monologue, Mikey Day and Andy Samberg also joined him on stage, but they were wearing outfits that he is familiar with. They wore full Betelgeuse costumes with their iconic makeup, green hair, and pinstripe suits.
“With Halloween coming up, I think you’re going to see a lot of little kids dressed up like Beetlejuice, which is so adorable,” Keaton said while promoting the Beetlejuice sequel, which was released last month. he said. “And you’re going to see a lot of grown men dressed up like Beetlejuice. They’re usually men in their 40s, and they don’t look very cute.”
