Jennifer Garner enjoyed some alone time with boyfriend John Miller amid reports that her relationship with ex-husband Ben Affleck has become “tough” for him.
The “13 Going on 30” star looked relaxed as she stepped out of a restaurant in Malibu, California with the businessman on Saturday.
They were all smiles as they walked to their car before Miller ushered the actress inside.
Garner, 52, stunned in a grey crewneck sweater that she accessorized with a simple necklace, while Miller, 46, donned a blue flannel and white T-shirt.
According to reports, Miller, the mother of three, has struggled to act as a “marriage counselor” and “mediator” between ex-husband Affleck, 52, and his estranged wife Jennifer Lopez, but the pair appear to be spending quality time together.
“John doesn’t like sharing Jen and there’s a rift between her and Ben,” a source told the Daily Mail last week.
“He hopes that’s not the case because he understands they’re a family, but he’s struggling with it, like everyone is.”
The source said Miller isn’t scared of Garner potentially getting back together with Affleck, but that it’s been “tough” for him.
“John is looking forward to Ben and Jennifer Lopez’s split being over so he can focus on Garner,” the source continued.
The “Alias” star and Miller began dating in 2018, shortly after she finalized her divorce from Affleck, whom she split from in 2015 after 10 years of marriage.
Garner and the “Gone Girl” actor have three children together: 18-year-old Violet, 15-year-old Seraphina and 12-year-old Samuel.
Meanwhile, Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck on Aug. 20 after a source told Page Six that the couple’s marriage had ended months earlier.
The two “Gigi” co-stars reconciled their romance from the early 2000s a year ago and married in July 2022.
A source told Page Six that Lopez was “furious” and “humiliated” that her second chance at love didn’t work out after months of trying to salvage their relationship.
However, Us Weekly reports that Garner has become an “unexpected ally” for Lopez and Affleck as they empathize with each other amid their relationship struggles.
In the end, the “Juno” star couldn’t save Affleck’s bond with the two-time Grammy nominee.
Lopez has stayed out of the spotlight since ending his two-year marriage to Affleck, but he’s also a father to three kids and has kept himself busy with them.
Hours before the “On the Floor” singer filed for divorce, Affleck returned to Los Angeles with Garner and their daughter, Seraphina, after dropping off Violet for her freshman year at Yale University.
On Friday, he was photographed looking in high spirits eating ice cream with his two youngest children in Los Angeles.
