Romanian-born, London-based designer Ankuta Sarka has become a fixture on the London Fashion Week schedule, with the NEWGEN designer returning for another season with the support of the British Fashion Council, and being given the space to shine with an immersive presentation showcasing the defining features of her hybrid footwear.
For Spring/Summer 2025, Ankuta Sarka pays tribute to the optimism of the 1960s with a new elegance, while looking to modern office culture for inspiration. This season, Sarka hones in on the glamour of the office, dressing models ready to work in relaxed outfits that adhere to the new corporate code. The presentation space is covered in soft beige flooring, with supportive armrests, fluorescent lighting and the pulsating sounds of keyboards in the background.
Ankuta Sarka looked at London’s vibrant work culture in his Spring/Summer 2025 collection, refreshing the appropriate wardrobe with adaptable, neutral-colored workwear sets featuring low-cut tennis uniforms, ruffled parkas, pleated shorts, buckled capris and patent leather trim. As always, the designer wowed with his trademark kitten heels, presenting them in strappy leopard prints and foldover collar attachments. Knee- and calf-length boots came alive in roaring animal prints, and loafers were reimagined with contrasting mesh panels.
The Romanian designer previewed two unexpected collaborations during LFW, her first with Crocs and Clarks Originals: Crocs platform slip-ons appeared in shimmering gradient colors incorporating metallic buckles and wildcat inserts, and finally, she redesigned the Clarks Wallabee in reusable materials, fashioning the model into a flap heel with metal clasp detailing.
