Anxiety is characterized by feelings of fear or anxiety and is often related to everyday life. Sweating, increased heart rate, and restlessness are some of the symptoms of anxiety. It has been observed that college students are often victims of anxiety disorders, with substance abuse and obesity adding to the triggers.
However, it has been observed that anxiety disorders can be managed by combining healthy physical activity with dietary and lifestyle choices that bring positivity to the body and mind. The research was led by Dezhuo Sun, Xiangfei Zhu and Zhonghan Bao from Silpakorn University in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.

How was the research conducted?
The study was conducted on 498 university students (236 men and 262 women) between the ages of 18 and 20. The students were selected from three universities in Fujian Province, China. The questionnaire included questions about physical exercise, dietary choices, lifestyle habits, and how often they felt symptoms of anxiety, tension, and agitation.
Research results:
Additionally, the study observed that dietary nutrition and lifestyle habits play an important role in ameliorating the effects of physical activity on anxiety. It was observed that physical activity showed 36.93% of the reduction in anxiety levels, while healthy food choices and lifestyle showed 24.9% of the overall effect.

How can you reduce anxiety with a healthy diet and quality sleep?
The study further explained that consuming a healthy diet rich in nutrients that the body needs further promotes the synthesis and regulation of neurotransmitters, primarily serotonin, dopamine, and noradrenaline. Ta. These neurotransmitters can help lift your mood and fight anxiety symptoms.
The study also further explained the role that quality sleep plays in reducing anxiety symptoms. Good sleep modifies the body’s circadian rhythm and increases the body’s resistance and coping ability. This further helps reduce anxiety and stress.
