In a candid and surprising moment during an interview on Peace FM’s morning show Kokrokhu, monitored by MyNewsGH.com, Ghanaian Parliament Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Malkin has criticized his prominent political rival, the current Speaker Johnson Asiedu. – Expressed his admiration for Nketia, also known as Mosquito. The praise didn’t stop there. Mr Afenyo-Markin also highlighted Asiedu Nketiah’s integrity and commitment to democracy, saying:
“Despite our opposing positions, I respect his integrity and his advocacy for democracy within our party, which is something we can all appreciate, regardless of our political affiliation. ”
Asiedu Nketiah’s public recognition of the influence he has had on Ghana’s political landscape comes as Afenyo-Malkin openly acknowledges the positive characteristics of his long-time competitor, and two leaders of rival political parties. It stands out as a rare moment of deepening friendship.
Reflecting on the ongoing political battle between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the NDC, Mr Afenyo-Malkin said:
