Since June 2, Andhra Pradesh has lost its close ties with Telangana as Hyderabad no longer serves as their shared capital. But many politicians and businesspeople remain connected to Hyderabad.
Telugu Desam Party leader and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is not involved in any business ventures in Hyderabad as his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari and daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani run the Heritage Group businesses.
As the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Naidu’s attention should be entirely focused on his home state, but he makes sure to come to Hyderabad as often as possible. He has been there for the last two days despite a hectic political and administrative schedule in Andhra Pradesh.
The TDP leader took part in various programmes in Hyderabad, including party activities in Telangana. The party leader plans to scrap all party chapters in Telangana and completely revamp them with new members. In this regard, the leader held intensive discussions with TDP leaders in Telangana before returning to Amaravati on Monday evening.
Sources said Naidu has decided to come to Hyderabad once in two weeks to focus on the Telangana TDP. He might also have other personal reasons for being in Hyderabad, like spending time with his family.
Similarly, Jana Sena leader and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, before coming to power, also spent most of his time in Hyderabad and visited Andhra Pradesh occasionally.
However, since taking over as Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan has been based in Vijayawada and has been touring different parts of Andhra Pradesh, but he has not lost touch with Hyderabad.
Like Naidu, Pawan Kalyan has also been in Hyderabad for the last two days and is likely to return to Vijayawada only on Tuesday. He might have come to Hyderabad to hold talks with film producers regarding the completion of his pending film projects.
