Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are clearly trying to keep things calm in their relationship amid their ongoing divorce, as they grab lunch with their kids, who don’t look too thrilled.
The estranged A-listers went out for dinner at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday afternoon, and the pair walked in together after their kids ran off to get ready for dinner.
Let’s be clear: there was absolutely no public display of affection between Ben and Jen, not even the slightest bit of contact, and in fact, to be honest, it seems like a pretty cold relationship between them.
The pair appeared annoyed at being there at times, with Ben holding his hands up and close to Lopez’s face while they walked, body language that suggested he wasn’t happy with his soon-to-be ex-wife.
Incidentally, Ben and Jen arrived in the same car, and were spotted exchanging glances during the drive to and departure from the famous hotel.
It’s no surprise that the gathering seems so tense… As we’ve already reported, Jennifer filed for divorce last month without a lawyer — and it turns out there was no prenuptial agreement between the two, so it’s been a pretty complicated breakup.

Rumors of the Bennifers’ separation first circulated earlier this year when Ben moved out of the couple’s massive Los Angeles mansion. The $68 million home was eventually put up for sale.
Amid false rumors that Ben has started dating Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s daughter Kick, Jennifer Lopez has been spotted out and about, showing off her abs in a crop top and shopping for a fabulous piece of real estate in Los Angeles.
It’s worth noting: our sources tell us the two hadn’t spoken at all since early August, so we have to say that even a seemingly steamy lunch like this one is a good sign.
