Perhaps viewers blamed Willoughby for his insubordination in season 11. In his confessional interview, Willoughby spoke behind his back about Captain Kelly Titherudge and Chief Stew Fraser Olender.
Willoughby captioned the post: “Tell us a good story about a Below Deck staff member returning to the industry after appearing on TV.”
This isn’t the only time he talked about his yachting career. According to Monsters & Critics, he recently held a Q&A with fans via his Instagram Stories. Willoughby talked about what he’s currently doing with his life since leaving the reality series. He admitted that “Below Deck caused too much conflict to get back into the industry, so I had to leave the industry.”
Willoughby is focused on other passions. He is making an independent film. He also enjoys photography. Willoughby often shares photos of herself on social media. During the Q&A, he criticized the “stigma” in the yachting industry associated with those appearing on the show.
But there is one good thing that came out of his experience. The former playboy finally found love with Marie “Sonny” Marquis. The two met in season 11 and have been dating for over a year. The couple shares their adventures on social media. They also share a passion for arts and crafts.
