Though this year’s installment introduced several new game modes and mechanics, Career mode remains one of the most popular parts of EA Sports FC 25. In this mode, players manage a real-world club and have full control over almost every aspect of its day-to-day operations, from the players the club signs to the style of football played on the pitch.
Most EA Sports FC 25 players will choose to manage their favorite club or look for the team with the highest transfer budget. However, those without a preference should consider managing one of the Career Mode clubs listed below. Each club offers an exciting adventure due to the strength of the team and the fairy-tale story that the player can write.
real madrid
24/25 transfer budget: £104,883,152
Choosing to manage the best team in the world might seem like a bit of a walkaway, but managing Real Madrid will be an exciting prospect for many career mode managers. With most of their starting eleven under the age of 25, the players can be expected to dominate Europe for years to come. Los Blancos also have their fair share of exciting young players waiting to break out, with Güler and Endric both capable of reaching a 90 rating if developed properly.
Barcelona
24/25 transfer budget: £70,507,968
You’ll want to help a fallen giant return to glory, and few have fallen as far as Barcelona in recent years. Despite the club’s financial difficulties, you still have a sizeable transfer budget available at the start of your career mode, and they have plenty of promising players on their hands. It’ll take some hard work to get Barca back to the top, but the rewards could be far sweeter than success against their arch rivals.
Wrexham
24/25 transfer budget: £1,848,750
Wrexham have won consecutive promotions and are currently sitting pretty close to the top of League One. Their transfer budget is a little lower than other teams in the league, but those hoping to see the Welsh club promoted will love the challenge. If money is truly an issue, the players could choose Birmingham City instead and try to help the League One club return to the Premier League, but Wrexham’s story is more romantic.
Chelsea
24/25 transfer budget: £143,541,152
Apart from Manchester City, no other English club has a transfer budget larger than Chelsea at the start of this year’s Career Mode. Of course, players can easily make up the difference by selling some of the central London club’s many current players, and then use that money to bolster the many future stars already at Stamford Bridge. Pochettino may have failed there last season, but a seasoned Career Mode manager should be able to thrive at Chelsea, despite the high expectations.
Sporting CP
24/25 transfer budget: £22,924,808
If you want to build a team with an eye to the future, one that also experiences an element of challenge, then there is no better choice than Sporting CP. The club already has some exciting young stars in their squad, especially when it comes to high potential centre-backs, but their current starting eleven is far from world class. If developed properly, Sporting’s squad will be more than capable of competing at the highest level, although they may need to sell a player or two before investing properly in their squad.
