The village of Asheville was completely submerged Friday after rising waters from the Helen and Swannah rivers entered the area. Mud and debris from the flooded roads still remains all over the roads. The floodwaters were as high as the roof in this gale. The water receded by Friday. Cleaning up this area has only just begun. The entrance to the Biltmore mansion is located in this area. We flew over the property and several trees fell and were later cut down, but there appeared to be no major damage to the property, including the Biltmore House. I’m Jared MCS, covering Asheville.
