Blake Lively made her return to the 2024 CFDA Awards held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on Monday. The event featured a red carpet and cocktail reception followed by a gala dinner to celebrate American fashion accomplishments and honor industry leaders and designers.
Lively chose an all-white look from the Michael Kors Collection to highlight her long-standing relationship with the designer. The actress wore a form-fitting white dress that featured a gathered waist and a thigh-high slit, adding a modern edge to the classic silhouette. She paired the dress with a white jacket, also from Course, adding structure to the ensemble. Her look was completed with crystal-encrusted heels and diamond jewelry for added sparkle.

This was Lively’s first appearance at the CFDA Awards since 2014, when she once again accompanied the course to the event. This year, she presented him with the Positive Change Award in recognition of his contributions to philanthropy and efforts to create sustainable fashion practices. Kors has been recognized for her work supporting hunger relief and other charities, cementing her influence beyond fashion.
Lively’s appearance at the CFDA Awards follows her recent press tour to promote her latest film, It Ends with Us, which is based on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel. In her promotional appearance, Lively expressed her Lily Bloom character through floral ensembles by major fashion houses such as Versace, Balmain, Vivienne Westwood, and Chanel, as well as independent label Dauphinette. Directed by Justin Baldoni, the film stars Lively alongside Baldoni, Brandon Klenner, Hasan Minhaj, and Jenny Slate, bringing Hoover’s novel to life with a fresh cinematic approach.
In her return to the CFDA Awards, Lively continues to blend her influences in fashion and film, showcasing her evolving style while supporting longtime collaborators like Kors.
The 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards will be held on October 28th at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and will be hosted by Cynthia Erivo. Honorees at this year’s ceremony include Coach, Michael Kors, Annie Leibovitz, and finally, Erykah Badu, who will receive the coveted Fashion Icon Award.
