Blake Lively has officially ushered in the era of method dressing, as over the past week she’s unveiled a string of surreal floral dresses as a firm homage to her latest film, It Ends With Us, in which she plays a florist named Lily Bloom. From whimsical feathered dresses to a ruffled vintage Vivienne Westwood dress, Blake also debuted a stunning crystal lily pad minidress, accessorized with a sparkly mushroom bag.
Now, the 36-year-old has shared another glimpse of the bloomcore look in what is shaping up to be one of my favorite fashion shows ever. Sharing a sneak peek on her Instagram Story, she captioned the post, “Sleepy but I’ll post this hairstyle again tomorrow,” hinting that a gridiron post is on the way.
But for now, what we see is a thick, messy bohemian braid (Blake’s voluminous, honey blonde hair is perfect for this style) dotted with colorful flowers of all sizes: pink, purple, yellow, green, and more, lined from the top of the braid to its thinnest part.
The method dressing didn’t stop there: To match her bohemian hairstyle, Blake wore a fitted, square-necked fuchsia pink satin dress that was covered in interlocking rings of clear resin, decorated with an assortment of pressed flowers, including daisies, clovers, and gypsophila.
From what we could see, the actor was sporting a rosy make-up look with pretty pink lipstick and a hint of blush.
Now, I can’t wait to enjoy the beauty of these flowers!
