Taking a cue from her own fashion strategy, Blake Lively showed off her latest look on the press tour for It Ends With Us. On Friday, the actress attended the new movie’s Copenhagen premiere in a bejeweled gown that looked just like the crystal Versace dress she debuted at the 2022 Met Gala.
Lively’s new dress, also by Versace, was fit for a queen, with a beaded gold and purple corset, sheer panels and a floral skirt in the same color scheme. Similarly, her copper and turquoise Met Gala gown featured a bustier-style bodice with crystal embellishments and a dramatic train that wrapped around her waist. Furthering her royal vibe at the time, she accessorized with matching ombré opera gloves and a crown on her head.

This time, Lively wore a shimmery array of blue, yellow, and purple bracelets on one wrist and several sapphire rings on the other. Teardrop earrings were visible beneath her blonde waves, which were pinned up in a half-up, half-down hairstyle. Pink lips, glowing skin, and glittering eyelids completed the look.

Earlier this month, Lively explained that while her current press tour outfits are all floral-themed in homage to her florist character Lily Bloom from It Ends With Us, method dressing is key when it comes to promoting her new project. “I love that method dressing is so popular right now, because years ago when I did A Simple Favor, everyone was like, ‘Why are you dressing like your character? Why are you in a suit?'” Lively told People magazine.
“It’s a small film and all people pay attention to at these press conferences are the fashion photos, so if I’m just wearing a man’s suit, people will think, ‘Why is she wearing a suit?’ And then they’ll think, ‘Oh, she’s in a film and she’s wearing a man’s suit,'” she continued. “It’s a marketing ploy to get attention for our film. And it worked.”
