RIIZE’s Seunghan will completely leave the group.
On October 13, just two days after Seunghan announced his return from his hiatus, Wizard Production, the SM Entertainment division responsible for running RIIZE, subsequently announced the news of Seunghan’s departure.
According to Wizard Production, Seunghan personally expressed his desire to leave RIIZE for the sake of the other members and the group’s fans. The directors said, “Seunghan has consistently expressed his desire to leave the group for the sake of the members and fans. We respect the artist’s decision and would like to announce Seunghan’s departure from RIIZE.”
Seunghan debuted as a member of RIIZE in September last year, but suspended his activities after just two months.
Hello, this is Wizard Production.
First of all, we would like to sincerely apologize for hurting BRIIZE (RIIZE fandom) and causing confusion by announcing Seunghan’s return on October 11th.
We are very sorry for not prioritizing the six RIIZE members’ hard work and growth, and instead prioritizing Wizard Production’s position. BRIIZE’s support has been RIIZE’s greatest source of strength during that journey. The preciousness of the time RIIZE and BRIIZE spent together.
We made this decision after long discussions, believing that if Seunghan reflects on his past misdeeds and returns, and if RIIZE can show further growth as a group, we will be able to bring greater joy to our artists and fans. I was able to do so.
However, following the announcement of his return, we carefully reflected on each and every opinion and reaction we received from our fans, and we believe that our decision may actually hurt our fans even more and create even more confusion. I realized that I had caused a disturbance.
At the same time, Seunghan has consistently expressed his desire to leave the group for the sake of the members and fans.
Out of respect for the artist’s decision, we would like to announce Seunghan’s withdrawal from RIIZE rather than his joining the group.
We will continue to support Seunghan so that he can demonstrate his talent and chase his dreams.
Above all, we have caused a great deal of inconvenience and confusion to the six members who have always thought about their fans and done their best since their debut, and who have worked harder than anyone else to make RIIZE what it is today. We sincerely apologize for this. In every moment.
We will do our best to support RIIZE members so that they can continue to grow.
Wizard Production will continue to pay close attention and strive to make RIIZE and BRIIZE happy forever.
