Sue McNeely named executive director of Muhlenberg Career Center
McNeely previously served as director of the Wasserman Career Development Center at New York University’s School of Professional Studies (SPS).

Muhlenberg College is pleased to welcome Sue McNeely, a higher education professional with nearly 20 years of experience, as the new executive director of the college’s Career Center. McNeely comes to Muhlenberg College from the Wasserman Career Development Center at New York University’s School of Professional Studies, where she has worked since 2018. McNeely will begin her role at Muhlenberg College on September 9.
“We are pleased to welcome Sue to Muhlenberg,” said Chancellor Laura Fage. “She has the experience and vision to continue to encourage and support students in their career explorations, working collaboratively with faculty across campus to provide enriching opportunities and programs that help students excel.”

At NYU, McNeely held increasingly senior roles, most recently as director of SPS’ Wasserman Center for Career Development. During McNeely’s tenure at the Wasserman Center, her team launched a series of employer site visits for students that included alumni panels, networking lunches, and job simulations. She also led the creation and implementation of the Identity Career Success Cohort Series, a six-week intensive group coaching to support students with minority identities in their job search.
Prior to her position at NYU, McNeely worked in residence hall and student life at St. John’s University, Rutgers University and Hofstra University.

Mr. McNeely earned his bachelor’s degree in history and secondary education and his master’s degree in social studies education from Hofstra University.
