Disneyland workers in California have endorsed the possibility of striking if their demands are not met, according to four unions representing about 14,000 workers at the Anaheim-based park.
Their vote, which represents an overwhelming 99 percent of union members, would authorize a strike only if negotiations with Disney fail to reach a new contract. Negotiations are set to begin on Monday, according to the Orange County Register.
The four unions represent a range of workers and performers at The Happiest Place on Earth, from ride operators to janitors.

The union’s demands include wage increases as well as disciplinary action against about 700 employees who wore union badges in support of the contract campaign, Inside the Magic reported.
The National Labor Relations Board is currently investigating the allegations.

“Our focus at (Wednesday’s) gathering remains on the health of our guests and cast members,” a Disneyland official told the Orange County Register.
“We remain fully committed to our upcoming meetings on July 22-23 with the goal of reaching an agreement with Master Services that will focus on what matters most to our Cast Members, drive growth and job creation at Disneyland Resort, and continue to provide a great guest experience.”
