The Broward Sheriff’s Office will hold a career fair in search of the next generation of public servants.
The Career Fair will be held on Saturday, October 26th. This event allows individuals interested in becoming a firefighter, EMT, or detention center deputy to connect with local recruiters.
The event will be held at the Ron Cochran Public Safety Building, 2601 West Broward Boulevard, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can contact the BSO Recruitment Unit and access information that will prepare them to choose the path that is best for them.
Each recruiter will outline the salary range and benefits of the available roles. They can also answer questions about job requirements, training programs, and the department’s hiring process.
Current members of each squad will also be answering questions and providing further insight into their roles and why recruits want to pursue their profession.
For those interested in security and safety roles, a $5,000 bonus will be offered to new detention officers.
Attendance is free to the public, but organizers are asking prospective attendees to choose one of the four one-hour sessions available to ensure all new recruits receive the attention they deserve. Masu.
