In terms of appearance, the petrol model doesn’t differ much from the existing plug-in hybrid model. The major difference between the two is that the petrol model uses dual paired exhaust outlets. The front fascia retains the inverted trapezoid grille and Changan V logo.

From the side, the body has traditional door handles and the roof has a floating feel thanks to the blacked-out C-pillars. The car rides on 19-inch multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. The retractable panoramic sunroof and electric tailgate are still available. Furthermore, with dimensions of 4730/1890/1680 mm and a wheelbase of 2795 mm, the car will be positioned as a compact SUV.

Power comes from a Blue Whale NE1.5T engine with a maximum output of 138 kW (185 hp) and a maximum torque of 300 Nm, mated to a 7-speed DCT.

The interior retains the design layout of the plug-in hybrid version, with a standard 10.25-inch rectangular LCD instrument panel, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, a flat-bottomed D-shaped steering wheel and a yacht-style gear lever.

Depending on the trim, other configurations include full-speed adaptive cruise control, facial recognition, Bluetooth key for mobile phones, built-in driving recorder, synthetic leather seats, ventilated/heated front seats, multi-layer front soundproofing glass, 4G network, voice dialogue, rear air conditioning vents, remote control for mobile phones, Sentry mode, driver’s lumbar support, and eight Sony speakers.
