Daisy Edgar-Jones was spotted in New York yesterday taking part in the press tour for her upcoming thriller, “Twister,” which stars her on screen alongside Glen Powell and Kiernan Shipka and is due to hit theaters on July 19th.
Edgar Jones took New York City by storm in a pair of Gucci loafers. Retailing for $1,300, the loafer-meets-creeper style is only available in men’s sizes, but the British actor didn’t let that bother him. The hybrid silhouette debuted on Gucci’s Fall 2024 runway show and features the brand’s sacred horsebit design.
The loafer style closely replicates Gucci’s most famous original almond-shaped loafer, while retaining the traditional creeper characteristics and featuring a platform-like textured sole. The shoe also incorporates ultra-modern silver-tone hardware and a monogrammed plate detail on the toe. If black isn’t your style, Gucci also stocks the loafer creeper style in a vibrant burgundy color. Unlike oxfords, loafers don’t have laces, making them a more casual option.

While all black seems to be the most popular choice, loafers are starting to pop up in a variety of unique styles, including fun animal prints and wild, quirky patterns. Besides Gucci, there are plenty of other brands featuring this popular silhouette, from affordable to luxury, including The Row, Aldo, Clarks, Coach, Dior, Steve Madden, and Maison Margiela. Loafers are truly a closet staple.
The “Normal People” actress wore a cropped white tank top layered with a shiny burgundy leather jacket and trendy black micro shorts with a high waist style underneath.
In terms of accessories, the actress carried a red shoulder bag with a striking gold chain clasp and framed her face with thin black oval sunglasses. Multi-hued metal earrings adorned her earlobes to complete her look.
