My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona showed me how important independent journalism is in giving a voice to underrepresented communities.
Your support allows us to tell these stories and bring attention to issues that are often overlooked — without your support, these voices may go unheard.
Every dollar you donate helps us continue to shine a light on these important issues before and after the election

Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro has apologized to supporting bands affected by the cancelled tour, and the rock band has quietly released a new single, “True Love.”
The band’s reunion tour came to an abrupt end after a dramatic altercation between Navarro and bandmate Perry Farrell, in which Navarro confronted Farrell, punched him, and was then dragged off the stage by staff.
Shortly after, Pharrell apologized to Navarro, his bandmates and fans, and announced that Jane’s Addiction’s remaining shows had been canceled.
Navarro posted a new statement on Instagram on Thursday to mark the release of “True Love,” along with a visual clip to accompany the song.
“Jane’s Addiction’s new song ‘True Love’ was released today,” he wrote. “I’m proud of the work we’ve done on this song, but equally saddened by the fact that you’ll probably never get to hear it live.
“We would also like to publicly apologize to our crew, @crawlersband and their crew, @loveandrocketsofficial and their crew. Thank you for being our companions on this journey for so long.”
He concluded: “I am heartbroken that this has ended the way it has and that so many jobs have been lost as a result. May we all heal together.”
Earlier this week, Navarro released a joint statement with bassist Eric Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins, citing Pharrell’s “continued pattern of behavior” as the primary reason for canceling the tour.
“Due to lead singer Perry Farrell’s ongoing pattern of behavior and mental health issues, we have concluded that we have no choice but to cancel our current U.S. tour,” the statement posted late Monday, September 16, said.

“Concerns for his own health and safety, and our own health and safety, left him with no other choice. We hope he finds the help he needs.”
“We deeply apologize to our fans who have already purchased tickets for the disappointment. We are unable to find a solution that will ensure a safe environment onstage and consistently deliver an amazing performance every night.”
“Our hearts are breaking. Dave, Eric and Steven.”
In a separate statement seen by The Independent, Pharrell said: “This has been an incredibly difficult weekend and after having had the time and space to reflect, it is only natural that I would like to apologise to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, our fans, family and friends for my behaviour during Friday’s show.”
“Unfortunately, my limitations led to unacceptable behavior, and I take full responsibility for how I handled this situation.”
Navarro’s latest statement suggests that no reunions are planned in the future.
