Fallout: London may not be an official Fallout game developed and published by Bethesda, but it’s still proven to be a smash hit. Released last month, the massive free mod received its first major update, which fixed a few issues and nerfed the pack of scary foxes running around post-apocalyptic London.
After a long wait Last-minute delay to major Fallout 4 update, Fallout: London releases for free on July 25thThis “game” is technically a free fan-made mod for the PC version of Fallout 4, but it feels like a new game from Bethesda. Fallout: London While it has received positive reviews overall, there have been some complaints about game crashes and annoying bugs, but a newly released update should make the mod more stable.
On August 9, Good Old Games, which is working with modders to distribute Fallout: London, Check the press release They announced that the game’s first big update has been released, and also saw over 500,000 mod downloads in the first 24 hours.
One thing I noticed right away in the lengthy patch notes: Foxes have been slightly nerfed in this update. This is good news Many, Many Player Filed a complaint On being attacked and Killed by this hairy little devil Currently playing Fallout: London.
Some fans have been skeptical of the series’ infamous DeathclawI wouldn’t go that far, but if a pack of foxes shows up at the wrong time, like after a battle or when you’re low on ammo, they can get you killed in no time.
Another nice change is that the amount of radiation damage you take per second while swimming in the game’s water has been reduced. Previously, it was a very high 250 radiation per second, which basically meant that slipping into the water would kill you. Now, London’s water only gives you 169 radiation per second, which is still something to be careful of, but it’s no longer enough to instantly kill you if you slip off a platform.
These all seem like good changes, and I’m looking forward to jumping back into Fallout: London soon, and hopefully the crashes will be gone soon. Here are the full patch notes for this update:
Quest Fixes:
“Broken Angel” — Fixed an issue with handling player health after a train collision. Fixed this issue disproportionately lowering the maximum HP of characters who already had high health or endurance, when it should have lowered the player’s current HP. Made the effects of “Lab Rats” and “Railway Spine” symptoms more severe (though it still makes them a bit easier), as early game balance was mistakenly built around this bug. “Charybdis” — Added Ferryman to the player-friend faction to allow for accidental hits. Ferryman and Sushi have also been added to the player-ally faction during the fight with Hill. After talking to Rachel in the marketplace, the utility entrance is now locked for “novices”. This is to ensure that the quest marker will point to the main entrance at the start of the next quest. “Heaven’s Killer” — Added a quest marker to the vital key at the Bank of England. Temporary fix for a bug where going through the Angel Station lab would permanently disable ambient music on user saves. You must reload before entering the lab for this to work. If it’s already triggered on your save, please check our solutions channel on discord, we’ll have the appropriate fix in the next update.
“Parliament of Fools” — Made the H4N-24RD unhackable.
“Dolls Of The Deep” — The first note picked up now has the correct location. “Swan & Mitre” — Ricky no longer dies when he passes the intelligence check. Killing the IODs inside Swan and Mitre before the ones outside no longer interrupts the quest.
