MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is currently enjoying the joys of motherhood, on Monday shared a playful video for her husband, actor Ranveer Singh. The light-hearted clip humorously shows Deepika patiently waiting for her husband at home, giving a glimpse into their family life and capturing the warmth and fun of their relationship.
On September 8, Deepika and Ranveer officially announced the birth of their first joy, a baby girl.
Deepika posted a fun reel video on her Instagram Stories, where she has 80.2 million followers, titled, “My husband said he would be home at 5 o’clock and now it’s 5:01.” Re-shared.
The playful clip shows the little baby running towards the door and peering out through the glass with binoculars, perfectly capturing the anticipation of waiting for a loved one. Deepika tagged Ranveer Singh in the post and added a big smiley sticker to add to the jovial charm of the moment.
Meanwhile, Deepika and Ranveer got married in November 2018 in a traditional Konkani Hindu-Sikh Anand Karaj ceremony in Lake Como, Italy.
On the work front, Deepika made her acting debut in 2006 with the Kannada film ‘Aishwarya’ directed by Indrajit Lankesh. Her first screen appearance was in Himesh Reshammiya’s music video ‘Naam Hai Tera’ in 2005.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Om Shanti Om, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. After that, the diva appeared in films like – ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, ‘Chandni Chowk to China’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Lafangey Parindey’, ‘Desi Boys’, ‘Cocktail’, ‘Race 2’ ‘, ‘Yeh’ Jawani Hai Deewani’, ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela’.
Deepika essayed the lead role alongside Ranveer in the 2015 historical romance film Bajirao Mastani directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film also starred Priyanka Chopra.
She then essayed the role of Rani Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2018 historical drama Padmaavat. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer in the lead roles, with Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh, Raza Murad, and Anupriya Goenka in supporting roles.
Deepika has recently been seen in ‘Gehraiyaan’, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Fighter’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
She will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’ alongside Ranveer.
