Mr Ambani’s $600 million wedding in India last weekend was one of the most extravagant displays of wealth in recent memory.
Last weekend, Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, went all out for the wedding of his youngest son to the daughter of a pharmaceutical tycoon.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, both 29, have been together for many years and tied the knot in Mumbai in what is perhaps one of the world’s most lavish weddings ever.
The three-day celebrations, which ran from Friday to Sunday, included a ceremony at the 16,000-seat Jio World Convention Centre and a reception at Antilia, the Ambani family home, a 27-storey building reported to have cost around $1 billion to build.

Notable guests included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Boris Johnson, John Cena, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas and other Bollywood and Indian celebrities.
Needless to say, before the wedding, there were numerous parties and lavish events held to celebrate the couple’s engagement, including a pre-wedding party that featured guests like Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates and a rare performance from Rihanna.

A glamping experience like no other
In March, more than 1,000 guests were invited to the city of Jamnagar as part of a pre-wedding celebration, where guests including Ivanka Trump, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg stayed in luxury “glamping” tents and chose from a menu of 500 dishes prepared by about 100 chefs. Pop star Rihanna also performed, reportedly for a fee of about $1 million. $6 million.
Guests also visited the 3,000-acre animal rescue center run by the groom.
4-Day Mediterranean Cruise
In June, the Ambanis took more than 800 guests and 600 staff on a four-day Mediterranean cruise that called at several European cities, including Rome and Portofino, before stopping off in Cannes for a special masked ball at an undisclosed residence, with singer Katy Perry as the surprise headliner.
Parties were held in other destinations, featuring performances from Andrea Bocelli, the Backstreet Boys, Pitbull, and more. The four-day trip is rumored to have cost around $150 million in total.

Earlier this month, Justin Bieber appeared at the couple’s sangeet, a traditional pre-wedding ceremony according to Indian custom. The “Peaches” star reportedly earned about $10 million for the performance, where he sang his hits ranging from “Baby” to “Where Are You Know” and “Love Yourself.”
