It’s like Young Miami talking.
Homegrown rapper Caresha Brownlee answered some tough questions Thursday night on the premiere of season two of her “Caresha Please” podcast.
The conversation with fellow rapper Saucy Santana began on the topic of mental health, with Brownlee quickly breaking down into tears when his friend asked how he was doing overall.
“I’m just so confused,” one tearful City Girls duo confessed. “It’s a difficult situation.”
Santana continued to ask about her troubled ex-boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs, who YM secretly began dating around 2021. The two dated on and off for two years before breaking up and literally bringing down walls.
Diddy’s homes in both Los Angeles and Star Island were searched as part of an ongoing federal sex trafficking investigation following a shocking lawsuit filed last March by producer Rodney “Lil’ Rod” Jones.
“I met him at a different time,” the “Period” singer said, adding that Combs was on a roll during their time together. Not only did the Harlem native release a new album, he was also presented with a Global Icon award and a key to New York City (an honor that New York City Mayor Eric Adams has since rescinded). “When I was dating him, it was love, love, love. Once we got together, he was just the guy.”

Brownlee, incidentally, is named more than 10 times in the lawsuit, in which Jones alleges she was a “sex worker” who provided drugs to his famous mistress. She denies all the charges.
Despite trying to avoid speaking negatively about the 54-year-old father of seven, Ms Brownlee admitted she was “hurt and shocked” to see unearthed video from 2016 of him hitting his ex-wife, Cathy Ventura, in a hotel hallway.
The 30-year-old single mother of two said it was something she could never forgive.
“I’ve been in toxic relationships when I was younger, in high school, in my early 20s, and it’s not healthy,” Brownlee said. “I’ve been in those situations, and I never want to be in that situation again.”
Asked why he hadn’t come forward to speak publicly about Diddy until now, Brownlee explained why he’d been so reserved:
“I can’t speak about things that aren’t my experience. I can’t speak about things I don’t know about. I can’t speak about these allegations because I wasn’t there at the time. I don’t know the person and it’s not my experience.”
When Santana asked if the relationship was more of a business deal, Brownlee would neither confirm nor deny.
“I think it’s been beneficial,” she said. “It’s taken my career to a new level.”
