The car uses aerospace-grade forged carbon fiber material to cover major parts such as the front and rear metal bumpers, hood, and roof. Carbon fiber covers 22.3% of the body. Various outdoor tools, such as a fire axe, fuel tank, shovel, and fire extinguisher, are mounted on external brackets on the SUV.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new car’s dimensions are 5052/2150/2059mm, with a wheelbase of 2950. The current Mengshi 917 has dimensions of 4987/2080/1935mm, and the wheelbase is the same, meaning the Dragon Armor version is slightly larger.

The vehicle, like the base model M-Hero 917, will be available in both pure EV and EREV versions. The pure EV version features a four-motor drive system with a total power output of 800kW. It has a CLTC range of up to 505km. The EREV version features a 1.5T range extender system with a maximum power output of 145kW, matching the power of the outgoing model. These systems combined give it a CLTC range of up to 1,032km.
