BRANDON, South Dakota (Dakota News Now) – Landon Dulaney is definitely one of those athletes you want to watch. He makes it look so easy to catch long bombs on the soccer field.
And as Zach Borg told us, this week’s Karl TV & Consumer Electronics Athlete will be using his speed and agility to play for the Jackrabbits next fall.

If speed is the name of the game, giving Landon Dulaney a free run might be the best bet.
“If it’s a long ball or something, you know it’s coming to you, you see it in the air, and you basically just go make the grab and catch it!” Easy! It may seem like it, but it’s a lot of fun! ”Landon says.
Football may be Brandon Valley’s Varner’s favorite sport, but it’s not his only sport.
“He’s very talented, very humble, and one of the most hard-working and dedicated athletes I’ve ever coached. When I say athlete, he’s very talented in any sport he chooses to play that he really wants to play.” But he’s really good,” Brandon Valley track coach Troy Sturgeon said.
“I focus on getting faster in track and basketball to help with soccer. My biggest weapon is definitely that straight-line speed,” says Dulaney.
Landon was a key part of last year’s Lynx state runner-up team and is a state champion sprinter and long jumper.
“He’s got great hand-eye coordination, plus great speed and speed endurance. So it’s kind of a unique combination,” Sturgeon says.
All of this has helped him develop into one of the top receivers in the state and will play college football just north of him next fall at SDSU.
“I’ve loved SDSU from the beginning, their coaches, their staff. I think SDSU is comparable to a lot of FBS schools,” Dulaney said.
Before he does something that might be more fun than turning on a jet…
“I grew up in Brandon all my life, and for me it’s great to be able to play and carry on that tradition. To put on that jersey and walk out to the home crowd, it’s like no other in the world. It feels great,” Landon says.
….playing a few more Friday nights for my hometown Lynx!
