Elon Musk has been called out for allegedly stealing someone else’s copyrighted work. Tesla’s co-founder and CEO was recently challenged by “I, Robot” director Alex Proyas. Proyas confronted Musk on the X app he had purchased, tweeting, “Elon, can you give me back my design?” #ElonMusk #Elon_Musk. ”
Below the caption, Proyas added a collage originally put together by Screen Thrill’s social media team. The collage compared three “I, Robot” designs and three new concept models from Musk’s Tesla series side-by-side, showing striking similarities.
The first row showed “I, Robot” robot police on the left and Mr. Musk’s Optimus robot on the right. The next row had a futuristic truck next to a Tesla Robovan, and the collage ended with the futuristic vehicle used in “I, Robot” next to Musk’s CyberCab.
The similarities came days after Musk unveiled the prototype to fans. At the event, Musk reportedly arrived in a cybertaxi while the Optimus robot served drinks, talked to guests and danced.
On stage, Musk spoke proudly about his invention and what the future holds. “We’re going to go from fully autonomous driving with supervision to fully autonomous driving without supervision where you can sleep and wake up at your destination. That’s going to be a bright future.”
The Cyber Cab has no steering wheel or pedals.
Musk hasn’t responded yet, but it’s hard to deny the similarities, especially when Tesla’s website has a “We, Robot” tab that offers glimpses of robotaxis, robovans, and Tesla bots. It may be difficult. .
Fans reacted to the comparison on Screen Thrill’s page. One said, “Guy saw iRobot once and told him to imitate it quickly,” and another said, “Didn’t Elon finish the movie?” This is the worst possible outcome. ”
In “I, Robot,” the year is 2035, and Will Smith’s character investigates a murder believed to have been committed by one of the highly intelligent robots. That’s when I realized that robots could be a threat to humanity.
Other fans also commented as they felt Proyas was appealing to the allegations against Musk.
One fan said, “The 6-year-old kid who drew the picture is asking you the same questions,” while another said, “Haha, you should be honored. He made them real.” .”
Production of the CyberCab is scheduled to begin in 2026, with Musk claiming that the “fully autonomous, unsupervised” vehicle will be safer than today’s human-driven vehicles.
“It will save lives,” he said. “For example, it will save a lot of lives and injuries. I think self-driving cars will be 10 times safer than humans.”
