NEW YORK – The NBA today announced the full game schedule and national television schedule for group play for the Emirates NBA Cup 2024. The full game schedule and national broadcast schedule for the 2024-25 regular season will be released on Thursday, August 15.
Group play games will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays from November 12 through December 3. On these “Cup Nights,” the only NBA matches scheduled will be group play games. TNT and ESPN will jointly broadcast 14 games, and NBA TV will air three games in this first stage of the Emirates NBA Cup, formerly known as the NBA In-Season Tournament.
The first Cup Night (Tuesday, November 12) will feature a doubleheader broadcast on TNT, with the Philadelphia 76ers hosting the New York Knicks in a rematch of last season’s first-round playoff series, in which the Knicks beat the 76ers by one point in six games (Eastern Group A, 7:30 p.m. Eastern). In the second game, the defending Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks will visit the Golden State Warriors, with Dallas’ five-time NBA All-Star Klay Thompson returning to Chase Center to face the team with which he spent the past 13 seasons, winning four NBA championships (West Group C, 10 p.m. Eastern).
ESPN will air a doubleheader on Friday, November 15, as the first of its group play coverage. The defending Emirates NBA Cup champions, the Los Angeles Lakers, who went 7-0 in last season’s tournament and defeated the Indiana Pacers in the championship, visit the San Antonio Spurs (West Group B, 7:30 p.m. ET), while the Warriors host the Memphis Grizzlies (West Group C, 10 p.m. ET).

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, TNT’s doubleheader will begin with the Cleveland Cavaliers visiting the NBA’s defending champion Boston Celtics in a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference semifinal series (East Group C, 7 p.m. ET). Then, the Spurs, featuring 2023-24 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama, will host the Oklahoma City Thunder, last season’s top playoff seed in the Western Conference (West Group B, 9:30 p.m. ET).
The Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks, who met in last season’s NBA In-Season Tournament semifinals and the first round of the NBA Playoffs, will meet in group play in the first game of an ESPN doubleheader at Fiserv Forum on Friday, Nov. 22 (East Group B, 7:30 p.m. ET), before the 2022-23 NBA champion Denver Nuggets host the Mavericks (West Group C, 10 p.m. ET).
A TNT doubleheader on Tuesday, Nov. 26 will be highlighted by two rematches from last season’s group play, with the Bucks visiting the Miami Heat (East Group B, 7:30 p.m. ET) and the Phoenix Suns taking on the Lakers (West Group B, 10 p.m. ET), who also faced the Lakers in the quarterfinals of the NBA in-season tournament last season.
The group play schedule features five nationally broadcast games on Friday, Nov. 29, kicking off with a tripleheader on NBA TV: New York vs. Charlotte Hornets (East Group A, noon ET), Cleveland vs. Atlanta Hawks (East Group C, 2:30 p.m. ET) and NBA In-Season Tournament 2023 semifinalists, the New Orleans Pelicans vs. Memphis (West Group C, 5 p.m. ET). ESPN will then close out its group play coverage with a doubleheader featuring the Los Angeles Clippers visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves (West Group A, 7:30 p.m. ET) and the Lakers hosting the Thunder (West Group B, 10 p.m. ET).
On the final day of group play (Tuesday, Dec. 3), TNT will broadcast a doubleheader featuring the Knicks hosting the Orlando Magic in New York (East Group A, 7:30 p.m. ET) and the Warriors hosting the Nuggets in Denver (West Group C, 10 p.m. ET), matchups between the 2021-22 and 2022-23 NBA champions, respectively.
Each NBA team will play four assigned group play games: one against each opponent in their group, two at home and two away. As previously announced, all 30 teams were randomly split into five groups within their conferences based on their win-loss records for the 2023-24 regular season.
