If there’s one thing Ralph Lauren does right, it’s preppy style, and Emma Chamberlain is big into that style too.
A day after the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics introduced the sports and participating countries and featured rare appearances by Beyoncé and Celine Dion, celebrities and athletes gathered at a Team USA gala hosted by Ralph Lauren.
Chamberlain was one of many celebrities who attended the American designer’s cocktail party at Ralph’s restaurant in Paris on Saturday night, and she was, naturally, decked out in head-to-toe Ralph Lauren. The podcast host and YouTuber looked chic and all-American in a matching striped getup.
Chamberlain looked effortless in a pale blue button-up shirt with white stripes and a knee-length pencil skirt in the same color but with thicker stripes. Her hair was pulled back into a perfectly loose updo and she accessorized with a smoky eye and bold lip. For accessories, Chamberlain accessorized with white strappy heels and a white Ralph Lauren handbag.
Befitting one of Ralph Lauren’s muses, Emma Chamberlain wore a different outfit from the designer to the opening ceremony, but continued to carry the same bag. Other notable guests on the night included First Lady Jill Biden, Nick Jonas, Nina Dobrev, Shaun White, Jessica Chastain, John Mulaney, and Spike Lee.
The party and this year’s Olympics mark a milestone for the designer in charge of the official outfits for the U.S. team. Athletes and celebrities attending the Games are wearing the brand’s clothes, including at the Opening Ceremony. At Friday’s Opening Ceremony, the athletes wore “modern takes on classic styles”: single-breasted wool blazers with red and white trim, striped oxford shirts and jeans. Fans can look forward to seeing the U.S. team’s look at the Closing Ceremony, which is expected to be “sporty moto-style” jackets, white jeans and, of course, polo shirts.
