Shortly after the final oversized coat walked down the runway at Gucci’s Spring 2025 show, Gucci Creative Director Sabato de Sarno once again brought his muses and all the show-goers together for a post-show celebration.
It was a quick jaunt from the show’s venue, Triennale di Milano (Milan’s art and design museum in the majestic Sempione Park), to Holt, a quintessential Milanese restaurant with a rooftop deck overlooking Milan’s Duomo.
There, the party really got going at the after-party. Many guests who had appeared at the front shows were sporting their second look of the night. Debbie Harry swapped her pencil skirt and leather jacket for a tracksuit jacket with F1-inspired embellishments. Daisy Edgar-Jones appeared in white translucent micro shorts before stepping out in oversized denim. Dakota Johnson also changed into more comfortable attire in jeans and a black leather jacket.
If De Sarno’s just-released collection was inspired by Jackie Kennedy’s “effortless glamour,” that was also the vibe his partygoers embraced. The Gucci women seemed to ditch stylist-approved outfits in favor of something less “constructed.” Is there anything more attractive than effortlessness?
As Sabrina Carpenter’s “Freedom” and Strokes classics blared from speakers helmed by DJ Alix Brown, Dakota Johnson and Gabrielle were seen catching on. Actresses Julia Garner and Nicola Coughlan shared a table with Jessica Chastain. Solange showed up, too, to pose for photos with Harry and de Sarno. All the while, dishes were passing around from Holt’s chef Niederkofler’s penchant for “ingredients you can prepare in an hour” (all hyper-local). Jannik Sinner, who had praised the Michelin-starred kitchen, spent much of the evening chatting to the chefs.
Things really got going when De Sarno started posing for photos with party guests. He had a lot to celebrate. The night marked nearly a year since the debut of his first-ever Gucci collection, and according to Vogue’s Luke Leach, “De Sarno has won himself new fans” with his Spring 2025 collection. Cheers!
