Drama erupted this morning when impeached Vice President Ligati Gachagua’s office staff were barred from entering his office at Harambee Annex in Nairobi.
Police from the Rapid Deployment Force are said to have staffed the building and have prohibited interviews or photographs of members of the 4th group.
Employees who spoke on condition of anonymity said they arrived at work in the morning and were told to go home until further notice, Citizen TV reported.
This came after 108 staff members were recently sent on compulsory leave, severely impacting his office’s operations.

Chief Executive Patrick Mwangi said: “Following the ongoing constitutional process affecting His Excellency the Vice President, I have decided as follows: All staff in Job Groups T and U are hereby directed to proceed with immediate compulsory leave. A notice was issued stating that “this will be done.” I copied it to Chief of Staff and Director of Public Services Felix Koske on Saturday and read it.
Currently appearing on citizen tv daybreak showBelgut MP Nelson Koesch poked fun at the sheer number of staff in the DPP office, highlighting in particular the vast number of different types of advisors Gachagua has at its disposal.
“I was reading the notice sent by Mr. Patrick Mwangi, do we need all kinds of advisors, food advisors, political advisors? 108 people is a huge number! This country is reeling from unemployment of all kinds. “But I don’t need to do that.” “I think it was fair for Gachagua to have such a huge number of hangers.”
In addition to this, Gachagua’s security detail has been withdrawn. Gachagua, who was in a difficult situation, lamented the treatment given to him and placed all responsibility on President Ruto.
“I don’t understand this kind of malice against a man who was your deputy and helped you become president, regardless of what he did. A life he literally struggles to continue living.” ” he said in his first public appearance after being admitted to Karen Hospital.
Following Gachagua’s impeachment, he was replaced by Cabinet Secretary for Home Affairs Professor Kisre Kindiki, who was approved by Parliament last week.
Ligati Gachagua went to court in an attempt to save his political future, but was given a significant reprieve after the High Court issued a conservatory order blocking the oath of newly appointed Democratic Party professor Kitule Kindiki. Ta.
The Vice President’s Office is one of the busiest offices in the country, and this new development raises questions about how things will move forward.
