NEW DELHI: The name Alia Bhatt evokes the essence of a strong woman. And for brands looking for an ambassador who exudes feminine grace and strength, where fashion is another vehicle for storytelling, Alia is a first choice. That’s why L’Oreal Paris has roped her in as their global brand ambassador.
When asked how she defines her fashion and how it has evolved, Alia said, “For me, fashion is another form of storytelling and a reflection of myself. I have always tried to stay as true to myself as possible; always evolving, but always comfortable and easygoing.” When asked about how she looks after her hair and skin, Alia shared some advice on her daily routine.
“I follow a consistent skincare routine which involves cleansing, moisturising and protecting my skin from the sun. Hydration is also an important part of my routine. When I’m not working, I go make-up-free to let my skin breathe and I give my hair a break from styling tools and products to keep it healthy,” said the actress, who will next be seen in “Zhigra”.
She added: “A balanced diet, exercise, taking care of my skin and hair, getting enough sleep and most importantly, listening to my body.” Experimenting with hair is a big part of it for Alia. “For me, experimenting with hair is a big part of embracing different roles and looks. It’s interesting how something simple like a new hair colour or hairstyle can change your whole look and bring a different energy to a performance,” Alia said.
“I enjoy experimenting with my hair, whether it’s for a project or just for a change,” said Alia, who added that she is passionate about skincare. Alia, who is married to Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, will mark her 12th year in Hindi films in October. She made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with “Student Of The Year.”
Since then, Alia has showcased her talent in films like Highway, 2 States, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Kapoor & Sons, Udta Punjab, Raazi, Gully Boy, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Darlings and Rocky. In 2023, she also made her international debut in Heart of Stone starring Gal Gadot.
Looking back on her adventurous journey in Hindi cinema, Alia is grateful: “Over the last 12 years, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the best in the country in terms of directors, production companies and actors. I am extremely grateful for every project I have been a part of as I have had the opportunity to put myself in the shoes of so many diverse and unique characters,” she said.
Her upcoming projects include “Zigra” and “Alpha,” in which she will play the role of a spy. “I am equally excited about the upcoming projects I will be taking on as they will give me even more challenges and opportunities to grow as a performer. This storybook world amazes, excites and inspires me, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be living my dream every day,” she said.
