The new Cranchi 62 (known as Sessantadue) takes a concept that blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces and executes on it.
Cranchi has revealed details of another new model that will join its revamped flybridge fleet later this summer. Called Sesanta Due (Italian for 62), the vessel will be just over 66 feet long, ranking below Sesanta Zette (67) and Setantotto (78), Cranchi’s flagship vessel that was launched four years ago.
Designed by Kristian Grande and Cranki’s in-house design team, including the shipyard’s longtime head Aldo Cranki, the vessel is the first Cranki vessel to feature a nearly vertical bow, which serves the dual purpose of extending the waterline length to improve displacement cruising efficiency and increasing interior volume to allow for more passenger space below decks.
The hardtop has rotating slats that allow you to change the balance of sun and shade in the dining area.
While Cranki has only released one fairly basic illustration showing the outline of the overall exterior, more detailed computer renderings of the individual spaces show a modern-looking craftsmanship that incorporates a lot of great ideas, not the least of which is the blurring of the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces.
So the cockpit’s teak decking extends to the aft galley and dining area of the salon, changing to carpet only where there is a slight step up to the forward lounge, before reverting to teak around the starboard wheelhouse.

The armchairs on the front deck are a nice accent.
Again, the designers have brought the outside world inside with an opening sunroof just forward of the flybridge and wheelhouse doors that open to the side deck.
Even the tender garage, a rare addition on a 66-foot flybridge craft, comes complete with teak flooring and interior and can double as a beach club once the water toys are out and about, with space for a 2.85-metre mini RIB and a Seabob, or a jet ski and two Seabobs.
Tender garage transformed into surface beach club
Integrated LED lighting and a shower head built into the opening clamshell doors complete the transformation, while a large hydraulic platform capable of carrying another tender boat or jet ski provides additional space for freestanding furniture and a plug-in umbrella.
There’s also a second outdoor lounge on the foredeck, with a comfortable sofa positioned beneath the windscreen overlooking a large sunpad at the bow.
The full-length flybridge has the luxury of a fixed T-top with rotating slats to adjust the balance between sun and shade, and also features one of Cranki’s stylish teak forward wet bars, the usual loungers, a dinette and a two-seat upper helm seat to starboard.
The teak sole extends into the full-beam owner’s cabin.
Accommodation on the lower deck consists of three en-suite cabins. The full-beam owner’s cabin amidships has a forward-facing bed and a dogleg entrance from the central lobby for extra privacy. At the bow is a VIP cabin with an aft-facing bed, and between them to starboard is a twin-bedded cabin. Plus, for spare crew or guests, there’s a small single cabin in the port corner of the transom, discreetly accessed from the aft platform.
The only engine choice is twin Volvo Penta IPS1350s with 1,000 horsepower each, which sounds powerful for a 32-tonne flybridge design.
Cranki has not revealed any specifications ahead of its Cannes debut, but with a fuel capacity of 3,300 litres, it is expected to have a top speed of nearly 35 knots and a range of around 300 nautical miles. Prices start at €2,420,000 excluding taxes.
