This Wednesday, September 11th, STEM and psychology companies will come together at Florida Tech for a career fair for all majors. The fair, open to both current and alumni students, will take place from noon to 4pm in the Clemente Center.
The event gives students from all programs at Florida Tech the opportunity to network and explore career opportunities in fields ranging from engineering to psychology. This year, 43 companies are recruiting students to participate in internships and other career opportunities.
The All Majors Career Fair is the largest career fair hosted by Florida Tech and is open to all students, regardless of major.
Students who wish to attend should note that business casual attire is required for the event. In addition to this, Florida Tech’s Career Services encourages students to bring a folder with copies of their resumes to give to company representatives.
This is Florida Tech’s largest career fair, but there are even more opportunities available to students in certain majors. On September 25th, there will be a career fair just for civil engineering and construction management students. There will also be a fair for aviation students on October 9th.
Whether you’re a senior looking for work after graduation or a freshman just arrived on campus, the fair is a great opportunity to start networking for jobs. According to employment data posted on Florida Tech’s website, 59% of undergraduates are employed six months after graduation, and 84% of graduates are employed as of the 2022-2023 school year. Florida Tech’s Career Fair is a great opportunity for students to start thinking about and getting involved in their future.
If you are attending the event, please note that parking outside the Clemente Center will be limited due to the job fair and Parking Lot 17 will be closed for most of Wednesday, so please arrive early if possible to secure a parking space.
