Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Victoria Jackson revealed on social media this week that she has an inoperable tumor in her trachea.
“Barring a meteor, shot by a MAGA hater, re-infected with Covid-19, or World War 3, I have 34.8 months to live,” the comedian and actress, who starred on NBC’s sketch comedy show in the late 1980s and early 1990s, wrote in the caption of her Instagram video.
Jackson revealed that doctors were unable to operate and remove what she described as a “marble” in her chest that lay over her windpipe, ultimately “choking” her to death.
She added that doctors have prescribed “magic pills” including ribociclib, a type of cancer growth inhibitor, which they hope will shrink the tumor.
She said she had Googled the name of the person she declined to name, and found that people who take the drug have less than three years to live.
“I’ve lived a great life,” the 65-year-old said in the video.
The update on Jackson’s health comes after she revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016.
In addition to “SNL,” Jackson has appeared in films such as “Casual Sex?” and “UHF,” as well as numerous TV shows, including Comedy Central’s “Strip Mall” and Nickelodeon’s “Romeo!”.
Jackson has faced criticism over the years for some controversial comments, including calling former President Barack Obama a “jihadist” in 2015 and criticizing a kissing scene between two gay characters in “Glee” in 2011.
She told the Minnesota Star Tribune in 2022 that it was hard to find roles in Hollywood at the time.
“I was blacklisted,” Jackson said.
Ms Jackson, who is married to former police officer Paul Wessel and has two daughters, said she was looking forward to seeing her grandson Jimmy born in October and was also expecting her daughter Aubrey to have a baby.
