Missoula, Montana — Flathead Valley Community College is inviting area residents to “Careers Night,” an open house where prospective students and their parents can learn about career options.
Session topics include plumbing, surveying, welding, manufacturing, heavy equipment operator, commercial driver’s license, advanced manufacturing: mill, lathe, CNC, HVAC and refrigeration, culinary arts, construction/building trades, electrical and firearms technology.
Students will experience hands-on career sessions; parents will attend information sessions; local industry leaders will speak about current job opportunities.
The event will be held on Oct. 3 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Career Development Building on the Kalispell campus.

Prospective students will experience hands-on career sessions led by FVCC instructors, parents will attend information sessions outlining pathways to professional success, and local industry leaders will share current available job opportunities in the Flathead Valley.
Reserve your seat now for one-hour career sessions (6:10-7:10pm and 7:20-8:20pm) and imagine what the future might hold. Tommy McDade, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration instructor, sees FVCC’s vocational training as an important way to connect in-demand skilled workers with local employers. “Our focus on student success and meeting employer demands is what sets our program apart.
