EXCLUSIVE — Newly released financial information shows Democratic megadonor George Soros is the top funder of an organization working with lawmakers this Congress to thwart a House Republican-led investigation. This was revealed in the disclosure.
Records show the billionaire’s Open Society Action Fund donated $1 million to the Congressional Integrity Project in 2023. The project has received nearly all of its military funding over the past few years from the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a Democratic Party’s underground financial organization in Washington, D.C. The grant was allocated “to support bipartisan advocacy efforts on Congressional accountability,” according to the Soros-funded Open Society Foundations Philanthropy Network’s funding database.
News of the $1 million cash infusion from the Open Society Action Fund raises questions about how Soros will influence the Democratic strategist-led organization that has established itself as the primary attack dog on the Republican House majority, particularly the House Oversight Committee. They are internally revealing how they helped keep the light on. Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). Comer and other lawmakers have spent much of this Congress investigating the overseas business dealings of Hunter Biden, 54, the son of President Joe Biden.
But the investigation struggled to gain bipartisan credibility amid setbacks and a razor-thin Republican majority, with Democrats insisting they were focused on “futile” fraud allegations. In August, House Republicans announced the findings of a year-long impeachment inquiry into the president, concluding that members of his family and business associates earned more than $27 million in connection with foreign business dealings. However, the report stopped short of recommending that the House proceed with impeachment of the president and did not specify any criminal wrongdoing.
“A radical left-wing dark finance group has received funding from George Soros to attack the Republican Party, which has been at the forefront of exposing the Biden-Harris Administration’s radical policies and the Biden family’s corrupt influence-spreading racket. It’s not surprising that it’s being received,” Comer said. Washington Examiner.
“Republicans have been fighting to bring transparency to the Swamp, but the Congressional Integrity Project is trying to hide that money from the American people,” Comer said. “Despite CIP’s efforts to keep Americans in the dark, we will continue to fight for transparency and accountability in Washington.”
In a statement to the Washington Examiner, a spokesperson for the Open Society Foundations said: “We are proud to support the Congressional Integrity Project’s efforts to ensure that Congressional oversight serves the public interest, not partisan interests. “I think so,” he said.
CIP says on its website that it is “committed to exposing the reality behind Republican politically motivated surveillance and investigations targeting President Biden and the Democratic Party.” It is registered under a section of the IRS code called 501(c)(4), which allows groups to receive tax-exempt status as long as they work to promote “social welfare.”
CIP’s 501(c)(4) status means it is not required to disclose its donors to the IRS. The Open Society Action Fund is also registered in this section of the IRS Code.
In December 2022, the Washington Examiner reported that CIP’s income from 2020 to 2021 came almost entirely from the Sixteen Thirty Fund. Sixteen Thirty Fund, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, is one of several entities associated with Arabella Advisors. , a consulting firm that doubles as America’s largest Democratic Party-supporting dark money network.
The relationship between CIP and the LLC shadow network extends further. According to tax records, CIP director Kyle Herrig founded an organization called Accountable.US, which was affiliated with New Venture Fund, a 501(c)(3) charity managed by Arabella Advisors. I am a person. .
