German YouTuber Naomi Seibt was surprised when her Uber driver showed up in a Tesla after what she described as “the best experience of my life” in an Uber ride, and posted a short video to X detailing her experience in the self-driving car.
“I happened to be in a Tesla so I had the most amazing experience with Uber. It wasn’t my first time in a Tesla, but I was talking to the driver about how the product was progressing and he suggested we try the self-driving mode, which he’d never done before,” she said.
Seibt quickly agreed to let the car drive in autonomous mode, describing it as “a surreal experience in the best way.”

Futuristic and revolutionary
“I thought it was very futuristic and revolutionary at the same time. It’s going to completely change driving and the whole driving experience,” she said.
“Best Uber ride of my life. Up close and personal seeing the new Tesla avoid obstacles and steer itself. This technology will revolutionize the market. No one comes close. Hats off to Elon Musk,” she captioned the video.
The YouTuber also added a short clip to his video showing Tesla’s self-driving mode in action. Filmed from the back seat, the video shows the car steering around a busy German road while the driver sits with his arms folded.
Elon Musk’s statement
Seibt was full of praise for Tesla and predicted that once it goes mainstream, no one else will be able to compete with it.
“Congratulations Elon Musk on this amazing product,” she wrote at the end of the video.
The video, which has been viewed more than 78,000 times, even caught the eye of Tesla’s CEO, who agreed with the YouTuber’s prediction: “Exactly,” he replied to the post.
“I’m glad you never gave up. It inspired me to push through difficult times myself instead of taking the safe route,” she said in her response to Musk.

Tesla taxis are ‘phenomenal’
The video prompted comments from several X users who were equally enthralled by the Tesla’s ability to maneuver in traffic jams and the ease of the Uber ride.
“Tesla’s robotaxis are going to be amazing, 10/10!” one user wrote.
Another user took a more humorous and light-hearted approach to the idea: “I guess I’ll just set my destination, crawl in the back seat and take a nap!” he said.
