The National Security Guard (NSG), world-renowned for its flawless record in special operations, is currently undergoing a process of rationalization of its personnel.
The government has finalized a deadline to withdraw the provision of protection to all VVIPs by the elite National Security Forces (NSG). In the next two months, all NSG commandos protecting VVIPs will be withdrawn. According to a senior government official, the latest order directs the CRPF to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, key NDA leaders and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He reportedly instructed them to take over the safety of all nine people under their protection, including Mr. within the next two months.
News18 had earlier exclusively reported about the rationalization process of NSG in which the government decided to remove the VVIP building from NSG.
This is the second important step in VVIP security. Prior to this, the Modi government withdrew all self-propelled artillery from protection and made it a dedicated unit to protect only the Indian Prime Minister.
“As per the recent orders, CRPF has been directed to take over the security of nine detainees. The process of security transfer should be completed within the next two months,” a senior government official told News18 .
It is learned that all the protected persons had already been informed that the CRPF, which also provides security to Home Minister Amit Shah, the Gandhi family and other top political leaders and businessmen, would take over their security. Ta.
Although there is no specific schedule for the withdrawal of NSG commandos from each ward, it is expected that the safety of CM Yogi Adityanath and Rajnath Singh will be given priority. Leaders such as former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and North Carolina Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah are also receiving NSG protection.
Sources said the CRPF will soon assess the number of personnel required, other infrastructure requirements and threat perception against the VVIPs before taking over the security of the VVIPs.

Several meetings were held within the Union Home Ministry which led to the decision to remove VVIP security forces from the NSG.
