BTS’s Jin is adding a new title to his resume: global ambassador for Gucci. The K-pop star was named a global ambassador for the luxury fashion brand on Wednesday (August 7).
“We are incredibly excited to have Jin as our global brand ambassador,” Gucci creative director Sabato de Serna said in a statement, according to Women’s Wear Daily, which first reported the news.
“His warm and kind personality is truly magnetic and his style is truly unique. He is a generous and extraordinary artist who can move people with his music. We are even more honored to share this journey with him,” de Serna added.
To celebrate the new partnership, Gucci has unveiled a photography campaign featuring Jin wearing pieces from the Italian fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2025 menswear collection.
Gucci’s announcement came shortly after Jin visited Paris as a torchbearer for South Korea at the 2024 Summer Olympics. The 31-year-old K-pop idol, who is the oldest member of BTS, was released from his 18-month military service in June.
Rumours of a possible partnership began circulating online after Gucci reportedly sent Jin a gift after his military discharge.
Now that the partnership with Gucci is official, Jin joins the rest of BTS in partnerships in the luxury fashion world: fellow BTS members Jimin is a global ambassador for Dior, V is an ambassador for Celine, Jungkook is an ambassador for Calvin Klein, RM is a global ambassador for Bottega Veneta, Suga is an ambassador for Valentino, and J-Hope is an ambassador for Louis Vuitton.
