Guilford Works hosted its first-ever event series to provide job and education opportunities for people looking for their next career. The trade train arrived early today at Kingdom Covenant Church in Greensboro. Many people have said that this event has already helped them start their careers. So this event gives me the programs to become who I want to be. I hope you all will come today and get the information because these guys are really here to help. We really appreciate it. According to the group, the purpose of the expo is to connect the region to high-demand training programs and fields such as healthcare, IT and transportation.

The CAREER Connections team at GuilfordWorks hosted Trade Train: Training Provider Expo on July 17 at Kingdom Covenant Church. The event focused on the healthcare sector, specifically helping individuals interested in obtaining dental assistant, certified nursing assistant (CNA), and other healthcare-related certifications. Trade Train is a summer event series that brings together multiple training providers for individuals interested in obtaining a recognized trade certification or license in a high-demand occupation. At each event, attendees can register with the training provider that best fits their schedule and preferred method of learning. Attendees will meet with a CAREER Connections career advisor to determine their eligibility for financial assistance. GuilfordWorks aims to assist these individuals through educational funding sources.
