Hailey Bieber’s summer manicures have been fun, to say the least. For her baby shower last month, she embraced the butter yellow nail trend. She smeared pink floral stickers on her nails to promote Rose’s Pocket Blush. She even had a farmer’s market-inspired manicure complete with blueberries. But when it came time for her most important summer event, she opted for the most classic French manicure nail design of all time.
On Saturday, August 24, the Lorde founder shared on her Instagram Story that she had welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Jack Bruce Bieber.
The babies were announced with an adorable (and incredibly cute) photo of Hailey holding baby Jack’s feet. Though we can’t see the little boy’s face, we do get a glimpse of the chic manicure Hailey picked out to welcome her first child. With a pale pink base and a dainty white half-moon on top, she’s established the French manicure as this summer’s biggest nail trend.
Hailey’s “micro-french” nails were done by her go-to nail artist, Zola Ganzoligt. “Welcome to the world of JBB,” Ganzoligt captioned an Instagram Story. “And another micro-french at the request of my husband.”
Justin is incredibly on-the-ball when it comes to nail trends: Not only did he ask for a milky white manicure for Hailey last week (one of Meghan Markle’s favorite colors), but he also knows that French manicures are this summer’s biggest nail trend.
“I think the French manicure is the gift of nail design that will always be loved. It’s nail art immortality,” celebrity nail artist Miss Pop previously told Marie Claire magazine. “Whatever you do, it’s not obscure. It’s recognizable. We all expect highlighted nail tips.”
