Halle Berry dazzled on the red carpet with her stunning looks that had people looking double (or triple) times. We’re not exaggerating.
On August 12, Berry hit the red carpet in Los Angeles to celebrate the premiere of her new action-comedy film, The Union, opposite Mark Wahlberg. Berry took the dress code (presumably sexy and hero-like) to new heights. Sexy! Oozing hero energy! See-through! Embracing the hottest shoe trend of the summer. Just wow.

Berry’s lacy, sheer, long-sleeve midi dress was almost an optical illusion. The exaggerated lines and briefs made it look like her underwear was on full display. In reality, it was part of the dress, which also had a top-to-bottom floral print. Let’s just say that Berry took the nude act to a whole other level. While the dress was the centerpiece, I couldn’t help but notice her shoes.

Berry paired her eye-catching dress with sweet, subtly sexy Mary Jane pumps. We’ve waxed poetic about these shoes before, and we’ll continue to do so because their popularity shows no signs of slowing down. They come in flats, platforms, and heels, with Amal Clooney and Berry favoring the latter. Honestly, heels offer a slightly sexier approach to this adorable silhouette.
The great thing about Mary Janes is that they can be worn all year round, so when the temperatures drop, just throw on a pair of laced socks for a flattering look that’ll get you compliments.
