Yes, at the end of fashion month, a fresh silhouette is appearing on the Spring/Summer 2025 runways in Paris: the hourglass mini dress. Although similar to the playful nature of the bubbly model, its look is decidedly more sophisticated and edgy.
Seen at numerous shows throughout the week, this dramatic silhouette took on a variety of shapes, cinching the waist and widening into a bell-like skirt. At Balmain and Mugler, for example, creative directors Olivier Rousteing and Casey Cadwalader took a harder, more angular path, respectively.
