Soren alleged that he was excluded from the party soon after Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was released on bail.
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Champai Soren on Sunday expressed anguish over the treatment he received from his own party and said his “ego was hurt and he felt devastated” after Chief Minister Hemant Soren was asked to resign after he was released on bail.
Soren also claimed he was surprised by the party leadership cancelling an event he was scheduled to attend after the Full Diwas celebrations in Jharkhand to commemorate martyr Sidhu Kamhu, who led the Santal rebellion.
“I was broken inside. I didn’t know what to do. For two days I sat quietly, introspected and searched for my fault in this entire incident. I have no lust for power whatsoever. But to whom can I show this hurt to my self-esteem? Where can I express the pain caused to my own people,” Champhai Soren wrote in Hindi on social media.

JMM leader and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren left for Delhi on Sunday, amid speculation that he may join the BJP, media outlets reported.
Soren told reporters that he had not met any BJP leaders and was currently in the national capital on a “personal” visit, but later tweeted that his options were open.
“All options are open for me in this journey till the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections,” he said.
He told the caucus that a “new chapter” had begun in his life: “Today begins a new chapter in my life. I had three options: first, to retire from politics; second, to create my own separate organisation; and third, to go further with my allies, if I could find any to walk this path with me,” he said.
Soren fought back tears as he said he was seeking alternative paths because of the “disrespectful attitude” he received from the public.
“For the last three days I was trying to hold back the tears after the insults I received, it was like I didn’t exist at the party, I felt totally nonexistent at the party I’d dedicated my life to,” he said.
“They were only interested in the chair,” he said, without naming any names. “Many such insulting incidents have taken place during that time, but I do not want to mention them now,” he said.
